Coaching Corner:Great job putting in the work over spring break! Despite the challenges the wind presented, we showed up, stayed committed, and made the most of every session. This past week, we went out and competed at a high level at a loaded meet. It was great seeing athletes go out and sharpening our race pace and fine-tuning our mechanics. Remember: our number one focus is always going out and being competitive. Chasing times or marks rarely ends well. Trust the training and yourself and simply go out and compete then the times/marks will come. Everyone brought great energy and effort, which will pay off as we move forward in the season.
One key takeaway from this week:
control what we can control. The weather wasn’t always in our favor, but that didn’t stop us from getting in quality work. Whether it was adjusting our workouts, staying mentally locked in, or pushing through tough conditions, we proved that we’re adaptable and resilient. That mindset will be crucial as we head into the heart of the season.
