Track & Field Meet Essentials!
What to Wear
Uniform: Wear your team-issued top and shorts. Make sure they comply with meet regulations.
DRHS TF Blue shirts: Wear your blue team shirt at the meet to show pride in our program. If you don’t have one, stop by Coach Gysin’s room to pick one up.“

Proper Shoes: Bring spikes (with spikes in them) or throwing shoes for your events and your trainers for warm-up and cooldown.
Warm-ups: Dress in layers! Meets can last all day, so pack sweatpants, a hoodie, and a rain jacket just in case. Remember: we live in Colorado, the weather changes quickly!
Compression Gear (optional): Tights, sleeves, or socks can help with muscle support and recovery.
What to Bring
Warm-Up: Start your warm-up 45 min before your race. Follow this routine: [LINK]
Stay Updated: Listen for announcements and keep tabs on the pace of the meet.
Cool Down: After competing, jog lightly and stretch to aid recovery.
Support Your Teammates! Cheer on your team and stay engaged throughout the meet.
Check In With Your Coach: When you are done competing check in with your event coach before family time, friend time, or just running off.
