We will be flying out June 12th to Eugene Oregon and returning June 16th to compete at Nike Outdoor Nationals. This is an opportunity for athletes who have earned a chance to race as a TEAM, at sea level, on a very fun, fast, and historic at The University of Oregon’s Hayward Field.

Trip Eligibility
Unlike NXR, there are qualifying standards for this event. What this means is that in order to compete in this meet you have to run/throw/jump a set mark to be eligible. Below is a link of the qualifying standards from 2023. If we went last year we would have several relays and a few individuals qualify!

In addition to hitting a qualifying time/mark athletes must also:
*Consistently train everyday
*Continue to train and attend practice each day after the League Championships Meet until the NON on June 12th
*Follow all team policies related to academics, sportsmanship, etc. during the season
*Have a discussion with Coach Gysin

Flight Options
There is not an official designated “TEAM FLIGHT”. Families can find the flight option that best works for them. Talk to friends and share information with each other as you find reasonable flights. Please keep the following agenda items in mind when making travel arrangements:
*Be at the hotel so we can travel together for meet check in by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12th
*The last race in 2023 was at 3:07pm – the championship girls 4×400m and there is a great chance we would be in that race this year. Please plan on being at Hayward field until 3:20pm
*Please plan accordingly when booking your flights

Coaches Flights
The coaching staff will be on the following Southwest flights. This is not an official “team flight” however, if families feel more comfortable booking the same flight as the coaching staff they absolutely can! The coaches will also have a van to help provide transportation to athletes traveling without a chaperone. It is highly recommended you book these flights

The team will be staying here and rooms have already been saved for athletes. There are several hotels in this area if parents would like to stay somewhere else but are more than welcome to stay at the same hotel. There is a discounted rate for NON.

Athlete Rooming Assignments
Athletes competing at NON are expected to stay with the TEAM. The coaching staff will coordinate rooming assignments, and will let athletes know who they are sharing a room with after we get to Eugene.
